Pravda up to it’s Old Tricks

Posted by ebowen On January - 7 - 2009

Once Stalin’s state newspaper that never told it’s readers anything that was the truth, to a crappy tabloid, to a delusional crappy tabloid touting Russia’s new-found position on the international scene.  This article shows that Pravda is just as separated from reality as our MSNBC.  Invading another country does not raise your good standing in the world…it’s idiotic for anyone to think otherwise.  The opening line of the article: “The world has started to respect Russia and take Russia’s opinion into consideration.” is laughable…I’ll concede that the world now has to take Russia in to consideration because of their willingness to foment instability in their former states and then attack the state if they try to stabilize the problems within their sovereign borders, but that doesn’t make Russia any more powerful internationally.

No one respects Russia any more than they did before.  Medvedev and his puppet-master, KGB hack Putin equate fear with respect.  Russia’s leadership remains a group of neanderthal thugs pining for another cold war.  The only reason that anyone in Europe cares about Russia is that too many of them have become overly reliant on Russian energy resources and Russian leadership’s willingness to use that to hold European countries hostage to get what they want.  The claim that America has fallen from economic world dominance is not the whole truth either…I’m the first to admit that the economic crisis is really bad, but our economy still outstrips all others in the world.  Russia is a wonderful country filled with beautiful, intelligent, and creative people.  Unfortunately it is lead by thugs and cheered on by sycophantic lap dogs like Pravda.

I’m surprised they didn’t refer to America as the “imperialist American pig-dogs”
