Dipity.com has put together 4 ways to present internet memes…a map, a time line, a flip book, and a basic list. Although a bit rough in places…especially the flip book one, I’d have to say that it’s an incredibly interesting and worthwhile site to check out.
The map uses the Google map API and plots out where the meme originates on the map of the world and links to the media from the thumb tack instead of directions, it’s really cool.
The time line breaks the memes down by, you guessed it, the time the meme originally appeared.
The flip book is a bit hard to explain, it’s sort of like the time line, but with a bunch of the videos and other media taking up more real estate.
And then there’s the list…which is exactly what it sounds like.
